Similar events have been held at the park before and often attract thousands of people to the area. Local residents have criticised previous events
due to anticipated noise concerns.

Fantasy Island has recently upgraded the lighting used on rides and the pyramid. A specialist team from SaveMoneyCutCarbon.com
worked in collaboration with the park to replace the original lighting and coloured effect bulbs. The new system uses cutting edge RGB LED technology, which is more environmentally friendly when compared to traditional light bulbs.
As well as lowering the carbon footprint of the park, the new lighting can be programmed remotely to display a fantastic range of custom patterns. Adam Garton managed the project implementation and described how the new system allows him to “control the lights across the park using wireless technology directly from [his] PC or even an iPhone.”
